A.P.N. Retirement Complex is situated in a pleasant garden setting. Daphne moved into No. 26 and Sandy into No. 27 in the year 2000.
These cottages were newly built and both have two bedrooms with a pleasant patio at the back. We have both been very happy in our cottages and afer 17 years very pleased we moved here.
There is only one entrance to the complex with a guard house and every vehicle entering is checked in by the security guard. Security is top priority and there is an electric fence all round the property. Residents can walk feeling quite safe.
Facilities provided for the residents include a swimming pool, games room and a library. One morning every week a combi takes residents shopping.
A main meal is provided as part of our levy. On special days, such as Spring Day or Mother's Day, a special menu is provided and the dining room and tables are decorated.
Should a resident need nursing care after an operation or illness, they can stay in the frail care before returning to their cottage. When a resident can no longer manage in the cottage, the resident will move permanently into a single room in frail care and the cottage will be re-let.
Having enjoyed living at A.P.N. for so many years, we are both very pleased to have chosen this retirement home.
